| http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080415/..._interfaith_dcThis quote by a Jewish Rabbi stood out to me in the article: "There is no point in discussing theological differences. They are old, in some cases ancient," said Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, executive vice president of the Orthodox Union, who also will attend the meeting with the pope. Really? No point in discussing theological differences? Heading towards a one world religion? _________________ It's true that doctrine divides. It's also true that love unifies. The unity we have in the faith is rooted and grounded in truth and love. Remove truth (right theology and doctrine) from the mix and you have less than Biblical unity. Remove love and you have no unity. Love causes us to seek truth and share that truth with others so that we become more unified. God is truth, and as we are more acquainted with His truth, the closer we are to Him, and the closer we become to each other

| That's fine. Like Paul, I'm sure we'd all much rather get up outta here! I know I would. But, also like Paul, there is still much work for us to do, and much suffering for His glory, to endure. The glory of God is what drives us. This is just gonna make me step up more in witnessing and displaying His glory for the whole world to see. _________________ It's true that doctrine divides. The Great Apostasy holds a forum and you are surprised the other parties are radicals who want to move towards one Religion too?
Seriously, the Catholic Church has made so many apologies and so many capitulations towards Muslims, Jews and others on behalf of it's errant children (Protestants, Those who just discovered the bible and read it,etc)..... that it is no surprise to this one if they are going in with the intent of coming out as brothers...... _________________ Let everything I do be done for the Glory of God and not the glory of sod.... I am the child of the dirt man - Adam... let me never believe myself to be so great when my origins are so low.... my only worth starts and ends in Jesus, for apart from Him, I am nothing

Surprised? Not in the least bit. Preachin' to the choir on this one, bro. The only group they don't cater to is the Protestants. Every other world religion? Cool with the demonic Catholics. _________________ It's true that doctrine divides. It's also true that love unifies. The unity we have in the faith is rooted and grounded in truth and love. I feel you on that. I guess my take on it is that its such a glorious thing to see events coming to past that lead up to the rapture. Sometimes we get so complacent, thinking this world will last forever. But, when events happen like this, MAN, it just reminds us that the hour draws nigh!! I praise God for the eyes to actually see His word come to past. _________________ "The Comforter be always with thee, good Christian, to guide thee in the way that leads to the city.”---Pilgrim's Progress

Ahhh, yes! No doubt, sis. What a privilege to have His truth revealed to us! What a wonderful, merciful savior!
Let's not get complacent in our watching it unfold, either. _________________ It's true that doctrine divides. It's also true that love unifies.
